NancyJane Goldston
Founder and CEO
As Founder and CEO of The UXB, NJ’s main functions are to guide each of the group’s creative and branding strategies for business growth. She brings over two decades of marketing, branding and strategy insights to clients ranging from multi-billion dollar corporations, to businesses that are fledgling and privately held. Clients have included EnvironmentalLights.com, Athletic Propulsion Labs, PRIMA Cinema LowerMyBills.com, MP3, Munchkin, Inc., SGI, Bamboo Pet, Aqua Mix, Swatfame, Cleatskins, David Orgell, Crustacean Restaurants and ddsWebLink. Before founding The UXB, NJ held a variety of executive positions including serving as the Chief Marketing Officer and EVP of WeddingChannel.com, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Licensing & Merchandising for Universal Studios and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/United Artists, as well as senior positions with American Express including serving as Co-Chair of the American Express Global Advertising Review Board, Della Femina McNamee (Boston), and Lippincott & Mercer. NJ is also a co-founder of ClubMom.com, is a member of the prestigious International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA), an Associate Member of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), a judge for the 2010 Webby Awards, a judge for the 2007 Communicator Awards and recently served on the International Marketing Council for Moët Hennessey. NJ has a M.B.A. in Marketing and Economics from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.F.A from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
Glenn Sakamoto
Creative Director
With nearly 20 years of professional design experience, Mr. Sakamoto has worked in variety of fields including entertainment, retail, food, technology, sports, recording, and business industries. A seasoned creative, his keen artistic ability to combine concept and visual design are applicable to a broad range of expression from advertising and promotional pieces, to brand strategy and print design. Notable clients have included Sony, Memorex, Rip Curl, Terra Chips, The Hain-Celestial Food Group, Patagonia, Fox, Tina Turner, Disney, HBO, and Capitol Records. Mr. Sakamoto studied design and communications at the prestigious Art Center College of Design, Pasadena where he graduated with honors under a full scholarship. Previously he attended the Otis/Parsons College of Design and El Camino College.
Bryan Shanaver
Technology Director
As the former lead of Internet Development at Long’s Drug Stores and former partner/technical head of a successful application development startup, Via5, Bryan has over eight years of experience in web development and systems integration. His deep understanding of emerging technologies and technical architecture has resulted in projects with other high profile clients such as Aetna, Sony, DTS, Bamboo, Munchkin, AquaMix and Qualcomm. Bryan brings a strategic vision and a proven track record in delivering robust web-based solutions.
Daiga Atvara
Chief Creative Officer, Digital - The UXB/Digitaria
As Chief Creative Officer of The UXB/Digitaria, Daiga directs and oversees all of The UXB’s digital creative activities. Her vision is behind hundreds of web sites, and she has used her insight and experience to sculpt creative platforms and digital initiative for numerous growing and Fortune 500 companies, including Best Westerns, Public Broadcasting Services (PBS), Athletic Propulsion Labs, NBC Universal, CBS Corporation, Sony Corporation, Gateway, TaylorMade-Adidas Golf, Atlanta Falcons and LG. Daiga is also Creative Director and Co-Founder of Digitaria. Before coming to the U.S., Daiga was the Creative Director for the Baltic Media Center Ad Agency. Daiga has a Master of Fine Arts, Graphic Design from Latvian Academy of Arts.
